Q&A; with Joshua Morey

1. Please give a brief description of your business and services provided.
Insurance and financial services.

2. How did you get started?
My family's been doing business in Little Tokyo for over 100 years.  From dry goods, rice distribution, and now insurance, we've held a presence in the community since the late 1800's.  I decided to open my office in Little Tokyo as a continuation of my family's legacy and an opportunity to carry on our community's leadership forward.

3. Why is Downtown Los Angeles, Little Tokyo, and the Arts District important to you?
My great grandfather, Bungoro Morey, helped pioneer Little Tokyo in the late 1800's and 100 years later his legacy continues through me.  This community is important to me because it is part of who I am.

4. As an entrepreneur business owner, what advice can you give for success to our members?
Network with local businesses and use each other's services.  The best way for our community to grow is to work together.

5. Name one thing interesting/quirky about you and/or your business?
I played professional baseball.
